Rayveness

Rayveness, also known as Britni Noel and Brittney Noel, (born June 19, 1972, in Jamestown, North Carolina) is a highly accomplished American pornographic actress with a prolific and extensive career. She has been honored with induction into both the AVN Hall of Fame (in 2015) and the XRCO Hall of Fame (in 2011), two of the adult industry’s most prestigious recognitions.

Before entering adult entertainment, Rayveness worked as an Avon salesperson, a babysitter, and in various fast-food restaurants. She made her debut in pornography at the age of 18 in 1990. Initially, she performed exclusively with her then-husband, known by the pseudonym Red Boan, and with other female stars.

Her stage name is of Indian origin, meaning “of the spirit.” Her marriage to Red Boan ended in divorce in 1997. She subsequently married fellow adult actor Dizzy Blonde in 1998, divorcing him in December 2001. She also married adult actor Tod Alexander in 2000, though this marriage ended in 2003. In 2000, Rayveness took a hiatus from the adult industry to explore opportunities in mainstream cinema.

To minimize the possibility of being recognized, she dyed her hair red and wore brown contact lenses. During this period, she appeared in a speaking role on the series NYPD Blue and portrayed Lynda, President Lyndon B. Johnson’s eldest daughter, in the film Path to War. She returned to the adult industry in 2003 following the death of John Frankenheimer, who had been her primary contact in mainstream film.

Her career has been widely recognized, earning multiple nominations in the sector’s most prestigious awards. She was repeatedly nominated for “MILF Performer of the Year” at the AVN Awards (2010, 2011, 2014), the XRCO Awards (2006, 2010, 2011), and the Nightmoves (2013). Her popularity among fans was also evident with nominations for the “Fan Award: Hottest MILF” at the AVN Awards in 2015 and 2016.

Furthermore, her venture into mainstream cinema was recognized with an “AVN Mainstream Venture of the Year” nomination in 2020. Rayveness took a second break from the adult film industry from June 2006 to August 2007 to have a child via in vitro fertilization. Her first child was born in February 2007; she has kept the father’s identity private.

In July 2009, she became the first contract star for Girlfriends Films, an agreement that allowed her to continue performing heterosexual scenes for other studios. She announced her retirement via Twitter in February 2011, though she briefly returned for a scene with Reality Kings in July 2012, and then re-retired in December of that year.

While she made occasional returns to the industry, such as her 2021 collaboration with TeamSkeet for the PervNana series, Rayveness is currently retired from professional performing. As of 2023, she has not filmed new scenes and no longer maintains a presence on platforms like OnlyFans, thus closing a significant chapter in her adult entertainment career.

Beyond her numerous awards and extensive career, Rayveness left an indelible mark with her unmistakable performance style. With an imposing presence, her gaze at the camera conveyed a palpable desire, a “hunger for a man,” and a clear anticipation to immediately begin the scene. She was considered a master of oral sex; her dedication to fellatio was complete, and she performed with a gusto and seriousness that few actresses manage to communicate to the viewer.

Her intense gaze was as eloquent as her blowjobs. She didn’t play around, she took it seriously, loving what she did, and her generous physical attributes perfectly complemented her masterful scenes. These performances are considered essential viewing for any self-respecting adult film enthusiast.
